Gintec Knit is used in many shading applications and can be used to
protect crops such as ornamentals, flowers, foliage, fern, tree, and vegetable
seedlings. Gintec Knit has also been used to shade cattle and other animals.
Because it will not unravel when torn, it is an excellent fabric for tarping
trucks that transport trees or gravel.
Gintec Knit is a polyethylene shade cloth that has been used in the industry
for over 25 years. It has several unique characteristics that cannot be found
with woven shade cloth.
Gintec Knit will not unravel when cut or torn. Reinforcing tape and grommets
are recommended for most installations but not required on outside edges for
installation on cable structures.
Panels can be joined on site using black warp or hog rings eliminating
fabrication delays. Gintec Knit is available in 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, and 80
% shade factors. Standard mill widths are 10', 12', and 20' but other widths
may be obtained by using Gintec Shade Technologies fabrication techniques.
