Gintec Winter Guard
Gintec Winter Guard is woven from polypropylene slit film. It is opaque
in colour and allows 60% to 65% light transmission. Gintec Winter Guard is used
as a winter protection cover over "Flat Top" shade structures in areas that are
not susceptible to snow. It is used on the top and sides of shade structures to
protect crops that can be damaged when temperatures fall below 50 degrees
Fahrenheit. Warm temperatures can be maintained when outside temperatures fall
below freezing with the use of heaters inside the structures.
Gintec Winter Guard is attached underneath the shade cloth on the roof for easy
opening and closing. It allows air to circulate and allows for drainage.
Gintec Winter Guard can also be used as a curtain for zone heating. It is
excellent in keeping cold, rain, and wind out of work areas such as loading
docks, equipment and packing sheds. It is woven in ten-foot and twelve-foot
widths. Standard mill length is three hundred feet. A seamless fifteen-foot
width is available as a special order. Other widths may be obtained by using
Gintec Shade Technologies fabricating techniques. Custom lengths may also be
ordered.
